The Gemeentelijke Kredietbank Assen (GKB) is an organization that supports people in regaining control of their private financial situation.
Until 2015, incoming documents were scanned and manually linked in Extendis. In 2015, after a three‑month pilot, the Gemeentelijke Kredietbank Assen decided to implement DocYard to process the daily flow of incoming paper mail.
For the banking sector it is very important to save documents and data.
However, these data and documents will only add value and provide knowledge if you create insights. This is possible with the cockpit DocYard.
In January 2017, the bank decided to add the Text Classification module. This module classifies incoming documents and assigns a document type with the help of the DocYard AI service layer. With its self‑learning mechanism, the system consistently achieves an automatic classification rate approaching 95 percent.
Since January 2017, DocYard has also been used to process selected incoming email messages. DocYard reads predefined mailboxes and can separate email messages from their attachments. The resulting documents, whether kept together or split, can then be imported into Extendis.
The introduction of DocYard, the Text Classification module and the use of DocYard AI has resulted in significant cost savings for the organization.
